Job Description:
Optima Plus Recruitment is seeking an experienced ICT Senior Analyst: On behalf of a progressive and ambitious public sector organisation, we are recruiting for a permanent ICT Senior Analyst to join a respected Applications Development team.
This is a hybrid role, blending remote flexibility with 50% office-based work in Lyndhurst, Hampshire. You’ll work closely with digital and transformation teams to implement smarter services, manage essential business applications, and deliver secure, modern IT solutions across the council.
Responsibilities:
- Lead on the support, enhancement, and implementation of key ICT applications.
- Deliver expert technical advice on system functionality, performance, and security.
- Support system integrations and digital transformation projects across the council.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues (2nd/3rd line), driving permanent solutions.
- Supervise junior analysts and contribute to a culture of continual improvement.
- Create documentation and contribute to the ICT disaster recovery planning process.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, software suppliers, and external partners.
Required Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Proven experience with business-critical applications and systems support.
- Advanced skills in SQL Server, Power BI, and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Solid understanding of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and cloud/on-premise systems.
- Experience delivering change or system improvements in line with ITIL or Agile practices.
- A degree-level qualification or equivalent professional ICT certification.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Full UK driving licence and vehicle access.
Desirable:
- Previous supervisory or mentoring experience.
- Experience in local government or the wider public sector.
- Familiarity with digital transformation projects and CRM/data integration systems.
- Continued personal development in system development or security best practices.
