Job Description:
Optima Plus Recruitment are sourcing a Housing Performance and Systems Officer on behalf of our respected public sector client based in the New Forest district.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking housing organisation delivering impactful services across the region. The successful candidate will become a key member of the Housing Performance & Insight Team, supporting over 5,000 homes with a strong focus on innovation, compliance, and system-led improvement. This role will contribute directly to the organisation’s digital transformation, reporting capability, and service efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive induction training for new staff on housing systems and procedures
- Support system development, feedback collection, and help implement a new line-of-business system
- Create and manage SMART KPIs, reporting dashboards, and statutory submissions
- Generate regular insight reports, dashboards, and performance summaries using Power BI
- Contribute to project governance documentation (RAID logs, PIDs, plans, and highlight reports)
- Work with staff and managers to support system use, enhance compliance, and deliver training
Required Skills & Experience:
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
- Strong ICT skills, with confidence in using new systems and reporting tools
- Experience in data analysis, housing systems, or business reporting (Power BI highly desirable)
- Excellent communication and training delivery skills for both individuals and groups
- Ability to manage deadlines, priorities, and conflicting tasks effectively
- Project support or project management experience within a housing or public sector setting
- A-Level (or equivalent) required
- Prince2 Foundation, or experience supporting system or service improvement projects
- High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and adaptability to evolving software tools
