Description: Our client is seeking to recruit a Consultant Clinical
Oncologist to join an established team of 17 Consultant Oncologists, delivering
exceptional cancer care to the population of East Midlands.The successful
candidate will have expertise in CRC, Gynae, Lung, Skin, and HPB tumour sites,
though there is some flexibility to accommodate other interests. The role is
primarily based in East Midlands.Our client is committed to providing high-quality clinical care within a flexible and
sustainable job plan structure. Less than full-time candidates are encouraged

Responsibilities:
- Provide a comprehensive oncology service in collaboration with consultant colleagues, including new patient and follow-up clinics in the East Midlands.
- Offer emergency and reciprocal cover for consultant colleagues during reasonable periods of leave.
- Manage patient care and oversee the proper functioning of the oncology department.
- Undertake teaching and training duties as required, contributing to both postgraduate and undergraduate education programmes.
- Participate in clinical audits and actively engage in clinical governance initiatives.
- Stay up to date with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements.
Requirements:
- FRCR or equivalent qualification.
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of attaining CCT at the time of interview.
- Extensive clinical training and experience equivalent to UK CCT in Clinical Oncology.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in research.
Desirable:
- Additional higher medical or scientific degree.
- Experience beyond SpR grade.
- Peer-reviewed publications.
