Educational Psychologist – Cambridgeshire 

  • Location : PE2, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire 
  • Salary : Up To £550/day  
  • Hours : Full Time
  • Contract Length : Ongoing

Minimum of two years local authority experience required.

Assessments to be undertaken face to face

Job Role:

Completing of advice as part of the EHC Assessments process. Attendance at planning meetings to discuss outcomes and strategies in collaboration with school and parents. 

Locum EP work – to support in the delivery of statutory Educational Psychology assessment work in respect of Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments.

Assessments are to be carried out face to face or remotely, although will need to work creatively and different rates are offered for remote/face to face working.

Duties:

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify and understand students’ strengths, challenges, and developmental needs.
  2. Provide evidence-based interventions and strategies to support students’ learning, behavior, and emotional well-being.
  3. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create and implement effective support plans for students with special educational needs.
  4. Offer consultation and guidance to school staff on issues related to learning, behavior management, and inclusive education practices.
  5. Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide programs and initiatives to promote positive mental health and well-being.
  6. Keep abreast of relevant research, policies, and best practices in educational psychology, ensuring that interventions are based on the latest evidence.
  7. Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and consultations in compliance with professional standards and legal requirements.
