Job Description:
The job of Engagement Coordinator with the LiveWell Dorset Service is an exciting community-based role aimed at promoting healthier lifestyles. You will work closely with various stakeholders to increase awareness of the LiveWell Dorset Service, helping individuals and underrepresented communities make positive behavioural changes.
Accountabilities:
- Community Engagement: Build relationships with local stakeholders and attend events to raise awareness of the LiveWell Dorset Service.
- Public Representation: Attend community events, set up promotional stands, and deliver presentations to inform people about healthy living opportunities.
- Autonomous Working: Operate independently across Dorset, including virtual engagement with community groups and charities.
- Promotion & Outreach: Engage in both physical and virtual events, with a focus on reaching underrepresented communities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Level 2 Understanding Health Improvement or equivalent, and GCSEs (A-C in English and Maths).
- Experience: Proven experience in health promotion, working with community organisations, and influencing change.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- IT Skills: Experience with Word, Excel, email, and databases.
- Planning: Excellent administration, planning, and prioritisation skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be flexible with working hours, including some evenings and weekends.
- Driving License: UK driving license and access to a vehicle required.
Pay & Benefits:
- Salary: £12.80 per hour.
