Job Description:
re you passionate about maintaining high-quality standards in education and work-based learning? Join our team as an Internal Quality Assessor (Engineering) and play a key role in ensuring excellence across our apprenticeship and work-based learning provision.
You will work closely with the Work Based Learning Manager to lead quality assurance strategies, support curriculum development, and maintain compliance with awarding body standards. You will also manage and mentor Trainer Assessors, oversee learner progression, and contribute to a high-quality learning experience for apprentices and employers.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with college and awarding body procedures, particularly around learner onboarding, training plans, and off-the-job training.
- Lead internal quality assurance (IQA) activities, including observations, mentoring, and standardisation meetings.
- Manage and support Trainer Assessors to ensure high standards of delivery and learner support.
- Coordinate End Point Assessments (EPA), ensuring all requirements are met.
- Collaborate with employers to develop strong partnerships and enhance learner experiences.
- Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement planning, and employer engagement initiatives.
- Act as a point of contact for learners, employers, and external quality assurance bodies.
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Level 3 vocational qualification with relevant CPD.
- Level 3 TAQA or Certificate in Assessing Vocational Qualifications (or equivalent).
- Level 3 Internal Quality Assurance Qualification.
- Significant experience in quality assurance, training, and assessing within Further Education or a training environment.
- In-depth knowledge of apprenticeship standards and assessment processes.
