Job Description:
Optima Plus Recruitment is seeking a skilled Licensing Officer to support our Client with Housing, Benefits & Planning services by ensuring effective licensing and regulatory compliance. This is a temporary role covering a vacant post, essential to maintaining service quality and meeting operational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough licensing inspections to achieve set targets based on risk assessment.
- Investigate complaints regarding licensed premises, vehicles, drivers, and regulated activities.
- Collaborate with various services, authorities, and agencies to ensure seamless licensing enforcement.
- Perform enforcement actions, including serving notices, preparing prosecution files, and presenting cases to the Licensing Panel/Sub-Committee.
- Provide licensing expertise to businesses, the public, and client departments, promoting awareness and compliance.
- Actively engage with trade bodies and relevant organizations such as Pubwatch and licensed vehicle associations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, ensuring efficient, up-to-date service delivery.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in licensing, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with stakeholders and presenting reports to panels.
- Knowledge of enforcement procedures and collaborative work with other agencies.
