Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced, skilled, and versatile Painter/Decorator to join the team. The role involves maintaining and preparing temporary accommodation to ensure housing units are ready for occupancy. As a Painter/Decorator, you will carry out painting and decorating to a high standard within empty properties throughout the Kettering & Corby areas. The position may also involve minor plastering, filling, and wallpaper stripping as required.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out painting and decorating work to Council housing stock in unoccupied properties
- Perform internal and external decorating to a high standard in domestic settings
- Work off ladders, scaffolds, or a ‘Cherry Picker’ as required and be aware of all hazards when working at heights
- Identify harmful substances, such as asbestos-bearing materials and MDFDrive vehicles for business use and travel between locations as required
Requirements:
Essential:
- Qualifications: Minimum Level 2 in Painting and Decorating
- Experience: At least 24 months of hands-on experience in a similar role
- Driving: Full, clean UK driving licenceAccess to your own vehicle for commuting and occasional business use
