Job Description:
We are seeking a Project Manager to deliver strategic Programmes of Business Change on a 6-month contract. This role involves leading complex initiatives remotely, with the expectation of attending the office once or twice a month depending on business requirements. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure benefits realisation, efficiencies, and cost savings for the client.
Accountabilities
- Manage and deliver large, complex Business Change Programmes remotely, ensuring alignment with the client’s strategic goals.
- Provide project management oversight and represent the Assistant Director of Transformation & Digital at various forums as needed.
- Oversee budget management, ensuring projects stay within financial scope and comply with procurement regulations.
- Develop new policies and procedures related to business change, and ensure effective implementation.
- Proactively engage with stakeholders to identify requirements and deliver innovative, efficient solutions.
- Lead Remote Projects: Successfully manage large-scale, interdependent business change projects remotely, with occasional in-office meetings based on project needs.
- Financial Management: Report and manage the project budget, ensuring risks are identified and addressed promptly.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with senior executives to plan, implement, and monitor business change initiatives.
- Policy and Risk Management: Lead policy development and risk management efforts to ensure project success and alignment with corporate priorities.
- Governance and Reporting: Provide regular reports to stakeholders and manage project governance processes including risk assessments and business case reviews.
Requirements:
- Significant experience managing Business Change Projects in a remote setting.
- Expertise in programme management and matrix-style leadership.
- Proven ability to influence and lead across various levels of an organisation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information effectively to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in managing project budgets and finances.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams, including external suppliers.
- Prince2 or equivalent recognised project management qualification.
- Educated to Degree level or Postgraduate Diploma.
