Job Description:
Optima Plus Recruitment is seeking a Sports & Leisure Duty Officer on behalf of our client. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to take on a key leadership role within a dynamic sports and leisure environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the facility while maintaining the highest standards of service, safety, and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day management and smooth operation of the leisure facility.
- Ensure all areas are maintained, clean, and prepared to the highest standards.
- Provide visible leadership, assisting with activity setup and takedown while engaging with customers.
- Motivate, supervise, and support staff to ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Assist the Sport and Leisure Manager in implementing management systems, maintaining operational records, and adhering to financial procedures.
- Administer First Aid when required.
- Work shifts between 8:00 AM and 12:00 AM, Monday to Sunday (depending on site operating hours).
Required Skills & Experience:
- Relevant professional qualifications, including First Aid certification.
- Strong understanding of industry legislation, including health & safety regulations.
- Knowledge of customer expectations in sports and leisure facilities.
- Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plans.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to handle queries professionally.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service.
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- The ability to inspire, supervise, and motivate staff to achieve excellence.
- Previous experience in sports and leisure facility operations.
- A proven track record of delivering results and enhancing customer experience.
