Job Description:
Optima Plus Recruitment is looking for a reliable Security Guard with a valid SIA licence to join the Facilities & Environment team at a busy public library in Pembroke. This 12-week contract covers short-term sickness absence and offers consistent hours with weekly pay.
You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for both staff and visitors. This role requires vigilance, professionalism, and a strong commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular patrols and monitor the library premises
- Ensure the safety and security of staff, visitors, and property
- Respond quickly and professionally to any security incidents
- Maintain a welcoming and safe environment for all
- Follow all health & safety and confidentiality policies
- Work closely with library staff and the Facilities & Environment team
Required Skills & Experience:
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence is essential
- Willingness to complete a criminal record declaration and confidentiality agreement
- Reliable, professional, and calm under pressure
- Security or customer service experience is preferred but not essential
